Mr. Campbell was admitted to the State Bar of California in December of 1998 after receiving a Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern University School of Law in June of 1998, cum laude. He was a Dean’s Merit Scholar and a member of the Southwestern University Law Review. He graduated from University of California at Santa Barbara in 1979 with a B.S. in Biochemistry.
In 1998, Mr. Campbell externed for the Honorable Terry J. Hatter, then the Chief Judge of the United States District Court, Central District of California. In 1997, he externed for the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Environmental Crimes / Cal OSHA Department. Since 1998, he has practiced law in California in the civil rights and employment arena. Mr. Campbell’s appellate victories include: Mesbah v. Ashcroft, 14 Fed. Appx. 952 (th Cir. 2001); Franco v. Athens Disposal Co., Inc., 171 Cal.App.4th 1277 (2009); Gutierrez v. California Commerce Club, Inc., 187 Cal.App.4th 969 (2010). Mr. Campbell tried numerous jury and bench trials, including a sexual harassment trial which resulted in an award of $2.5 million. He is an active member of the California Employment Lawyers Association and the Consumer Association of Attorneys of Los Angeles.
